Functions & Responsibilities of Anti-Ragging Squad

• To monitor and oversee the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in preventing of ragging in the institution.

PUNISHMENT AT INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL

The following punishments are possible for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level, depending on the type and seriousness of the offence as determined by the institution’s Anti-Ragging Committee:

• Suspension from class attendance and academic rights.
• Denying/Removing fellowships, scholarships, and other benefits.
• Denying the person the right to participate in any test, examination, or other evaluation process.
• Withholding outcomes
• Expulsion or suspension from the dorm.
• Admission cancellation.
• A Suspension from the school for a duration of one to four semesters.
• Expulsion from the institution and a resulting time-limited ban on enrollment at any other institutions.
• The institution must use collective punishment if the people responsible for the crime of ragging cannot be found.
