ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT - IT

Information and Technology undergraduate program launched in 2025. There are currently 60 students enrolled in the UG program. The Anna University of Chennai’s syllabus is followed in UG program. In order to expand the student body’s knowledge, the department has faculty members who are highly qualified and experienced.

Information Technology (IT) is a broad field that encompasses the use of computers, software, networks, and data management systems to store, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data. IT plays a central role in modern society, impacting virtually every sector, from business and healthcare to education and entertainment.

The IT Department in an engineering college plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of technology professionals. It provides students with a strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, networking, cybersecurity, and data management. Through hands-on training, research opportunities, and industry collaboration, the department prepares students to tackle complex real-world problems and develop innovative IT solutions.
