1. TITLE OF THE PRACTICE:

INCUBATION CELL BASED PLACEMENT TRAINING

2. OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of incubation centre based placement training in college is to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to help them become successful entrepreneurs and job seekers.

3. CONTEXT

  • The training includes job search, resume writing, job application, and interview preparation. It provides students with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings, develop a professional network, and acquire the skills necessary to secure a job or start a business.
  • It also helps students to develop their problem-solving and decision-making skills, develop a business plan.
  • Lastly, it serves as a platform for potential employers to recruit and hire our college students.

4. THE PRACTICES

  • The placement cell should design and conduct placement training programs for the students.
  • These programs should include resume writing, job search techniques, interview skills, etc.
  • The placement cell should coordinate with employers to arrange for campus recruitment drives. It should also inform the students about the available job opportunities and provide guidance in the recruitment process.
  • The placement cell should organize placement fairs to bring together students and employers. This will provide a platform to students to meet potential employers.

5. EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS 

  • The increased number of students placed in top companies is a good indication of the success of the placement training cell.
  • Surveys and feedback obtained from the students regarding the training provided was good.
  • The number of companies visiting the college for recruitment has increased.

6. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED 

  • Unfortunately, some parents may not be able to provide their kids with the right motivation and support to accomplish their placement training. This can result in a lack of confidence and adversely affect the success of the children.
  • Parent-Teacher meetings were often organized to emphasize the value of work and its role in society. These meetings aimed to inspire and motivate parents to help their children develop their skills and be successful.
